School History

Joseph Zito Elementary was opened in 1967. It was named after an assistant superintendent who worked for Isaac School District for thirty –one years.

One of the first teachers was Nancy Taylor. As the music teacher, she created our school song, which is still sung. Mrs. Taylor retired after thirty-four years of service.

Joseph Zito is a large school but our staff works together and cooperates with each other to accomplish one common goal: to educate our students.
