The school opened in April 1999 and is named after Morris K. Udall who served in the House of Representatives of the United States for three decades. Morris King Udall was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1961. After serving 30 years in the House, Morris K. Udall ran unsuccessfully for the Democratic presidential nomination in 1976.
The school was originally opened as a Dual Language and Fine Arts School where students were engaged in different ways of knowing curriculum and participated in a fine arts curriculum. Udall has a rich history of talented students; dedicated staff who takes pride in creating a school environment where students take part in experiences that will shape their lives and futures.
