Principal's Message

I am excited to be a part of the J.B. Sutton team, home of the Tigers! As the new principal of this dynamic learning community, I have had the fortune of witnessing all of the wonderful things that are taking place at J.B. Sutton Elementary School. Sutton has many programs in place that address the individual learning needs of our community. We have after school programs for students, an involved parent organization, and strong relationships with corporate sponsors, such as Rodel and Intel. Proof of the strong partnership can be seen in our state-of-the-art technology lab, sponsored by Intel.

Sutton is a great place to learn and grow. We pride ourselves on being home to a high-achieving, highly qualified staff. Many of our faculty members are trainers in best practices at other school districts throughout the state of Arizona. Faculty is dedicated to the individual success of our students. Thanks to the commitment and perseverance of our staff, over 70% of our students are reading at grade level! At our school, literacy is very important, and all of the staff at Sutton promotes reading as a natural part of our students’ daily lives. In short, Sutton is a dynamic, student-centered learning community that represents a cornerstone of the neighborhood.
