| James Bishop (J.B.) Sutton opened in the fall of 1952. The school was named after James Bishop Sutton a former teacher, principal, Superintendent and highly esteemed figure of the Isaac community. Over the past 50 years, Sutton has had a few major expansions including a north wing, library, kindergarten wing, an Intel computer lab, as well as a new front office complex. Mr. Sutton was a pioneer in education and specifically dedicated his life to creating the Isaac School District. From poor beginnings in rural areas to modernizing education to suit the urban needs of the area, Mr. J.B. Sutton served at the forefront of making our district what it is today. In short, his relentless devotion and loyalty to the Isaac community make him a modern-day hero. |
