Clubs

Student Council – Students in 4 th and 5 th grades are invited to participate in the Student Council program after school, Monday – Wednesday from 4:00 – 5:00 P.M. Students are involved in various activities such as fund raising, school-wide events, community service, and leadership training.
Art Club – Students participate in educational opportunities in the area of art history, art appreciation, and hands-on enrichment activities that support interest in the arts. Students are highly motivated to attend due to the wide-variety of art activities available to them.
Sunrise Club – New to Sutton, the Sunrise Club provides a safe learning environment for students who arrive on campus between the hours of 6:30 A.M. – 7:15 A.M. Students in grades K-5 are involved in educational activities, which include homework help, learning centers, and enrichment opportunities.
City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation (PAC) Program – The City of Phoenix has partnered with J.B. Sutton to provide after school recreational activities for students in grades 1 st – 5 th. For a minimal fee, students can participate in fun and exciting enrichment activities from the hours of 3:00 – 6:00 P.M. The PAC Program has also partnered with the Phoenix Public Library to provide an outreach literacy component, Step Into Reading, which provides collections of books for recreational reading, story time programs, and training for PAC staff on how to interact successfully with children around books after school.
