History

Pueblo del Sol is the home of the Scorpions! Pueblo del Sol Middle School was built in December of 1995. The school started out as a small building surrounded by mobile units, or .portables., in which classes were held. Over the next 6 or 7 years, two additional sections of the building were built. By 2001/2002, there were no more portables and Pueblo became what it is today!

Pueblo del Sol has between 700 - 750 students. The student teacher ratio is approximately 1:27. The ethnicity at Pueblo is varied. Approximately 1% of the population is American Indian, 1% is Asian, 93% Hispanic, 2.5% Black, and 2.5% White.

Pueblo del Sol staff, students, parents, and community, strive to collaboratively provide support for effective standards-based instruction to increase academic literacy in a safe environment. Furthermore, the school strives to provide all students with access to opportunities for success in preparation for higher education in order to become productive members of a global society.
