Isaac Student Council:Isaac EXCEL classes
each elect a student to represent them in Student Council. In
the spring of each year students elect Student
Council officers such as President, Vice-President, Secretary,
and Treasurer for the following year. All of these students meet
twice a week with the Student Council Advisor, Ms Esparza. At
present we have about 52 members in Student Council. Student
Council meets on Friday mornings at 7:45 A.M. and they have a
Leadership class to attend on Mondays from 3:40 to 4:50. Student
Council works on many projects such as School Spirit, Community
Service, School Improvement, Social Activities, Teacher Recognition,
and Student of the Month Awards. We are always welcoming parent
volunteers and parents are always welcome to attend any and all
of our events.
Leadership/Student Council:Our student Leadership/Student
Council program is designed to promote leadership in students.
We focus on learning leadership skills and procedures. We explore
all types of leadership and strive to give all students practice at leadership
roles. Our membership is comprised of elected representatives from each team,
elected officers who represent the entire school, and volunteers. We meet twice
a week
to plan and implement various programs. Our major goal is school improvement.
The entire program is student planned and student run. No decisions are made
without
student input and student agreement. All programs are student planned
and student run. IMS Student Council Advisor: Evelyn Esparza.
Cheerleading: At Isaac Middle School, the cheerleading team
adds flavor to many of our activities. Cheerleaders can be found
bringing
spirit to an assembly, cheering on sports events, and even
marching in a parade. The team works hard to show how much
they care about Isaac. Make sure to check out how hard they
practice, and how well they perform!

once they learn their instrument, they may also learn to double on saxophones
