P.T. (Percy Taylor) Coe was an honored school board member for
over 21 years as he served the Isaac District from 1931-1951. As
the district grew with families moving into the west Phoenix area,
a new school was needed. P.T. Coe was built in 1958 as a first
thought eight grade school. At that time the current Superintendent
was J.B. Sutton and one Board Member was Mrs. Alta E. Butler. Today
our school now serves the Kindergarten through fifth grade student
population. P.T. Coe School is unique as it has been the place
of education for thousands of students throughout the years representing
many different ethnic backgrounds and religious faiths, but learning
as one family of the Isaac School District. |
