• The role of the counselor is:
• To help children with skill building; socially and behaviorally
• To work with children to develop prevention techniques
• To help identify children with special needs.
• To provide interventions.
• To act as the liaison between the school and outside agencies.
• To help develop personalized programs, when applicable, based on each child's strengths and needs.
• To refer families to community agencies for services.
